Anecdote#3

My mother had gotten rear-ended by a man in a truck. He had caused significant damage to my mothers car but was suing her for the accident saying it was her fault that he was paying attention. Instead of paying him the money she fought with him and his insurance company so she did not have to pay him the money he didn't deserve.

Anecdote #2

My brother was overjoyed that he was going to be in third grade. "I'm a man now" he kept saying. His eagerness was soon crushed by his assigned classroom and teacher. The said teacher had a bad teaching reputation. Well he told my mother and they filled out a request form asking for a class change stating many valid reasons. The school said no to my my moms request for no reason at all. She went trough a long fight with ever tier if the school board to get my brother in a good class with a good teacher.
